So what will I be doing this weekend?

Yes it’s time for the second best weekend of the year (just behind Electric Picnic). This will be my 3rd Castlepalooza Festival, and each year it just gets better and better! It’s tiny (and that’s a great thing), brilliant local indie line-ups, and a wonderful crowd. Oh, did I mention they have a castle? A real one? It’s all based in Charleville Castle in Tullamore.

And not only that but this year for the first time Phantom 105.2 will be broadcasting live for a couple of shows! From the castle!!!! How cool is that? I’ll be live from the castle this coming Saturday from 5-7pm!

Here’s some of this years line-up (recommendations in bold)

Yaz, Tu-Ki, Tidal District, Fight Like Apes, The Parlotones, The Red Labels, Mystery Jets DJ set, Republic of Loose DJ set, The Flaws, The Laundry Shop, The Chapters, The Black Seeds, Kormac (live), Robotnik, Dirty Epics, The Minnikins, RedKid, Paul Hourican, S.O.S., Luan Parle, Mark Hogan, Moebius, DJ Morgan, R.S.A.G., The Radio, The Dying Seconds, Neon Flea Circus, DJ Fayer, DJ Baz, Black Daisy, Boss Volenti, Colm Lynch, Annie Minogue Band

As far as I know there are still tickets left via ticketmaster. And as I mentioned I can’t recommend this enough! Hopefully see you all down there! Go here for more info.

  1. Oooooh I’ll get to listen for first time in AGES! Coolio! 😀

  2. Ah here, false advertising!

  3. How could you advertise Castlepalooza without mentioning the complimentary middle aged stoner guy you get on the Saturday night?? That’s the best part!
